Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technology

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home’s field team in Flowood, MS, installing cutting‑edge smart‑home technology and helping customers protect and automate their homes. As a Field Service Professional you combine technical expertise with a consultative sales approach.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks and home‑automation systems.
• Assess each residence on‑site and recommend upgrades or additional services to enhance security and convenience.
• Educate homeowners on system operation and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and training to advance within the organization.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance or service sales is a plus.
• Technical aptitude – background in cable/satellite installation, pest control, construction or solar is helpful.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑growing environment.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of security cameras.
• Installation of smart locks.
• Installation and configuration of home‑automation systems.
• Basic use of hand tools and mobile devices for job documentation.
