Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs and maintains cutting‑edge smart home technology for residential customers in Huntsville. You will combine technical know‑how with consultative sales to deliver secure, connected homes while helping customers upgrade their systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation devices at customer residences.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades that enhance safety and convenience.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, ensuring they feel confident using their new technology.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the support team.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Willingness to learn technical skills on the job; prior experience in cable/satellite install, construction, pest control, or solar is helpful.
