Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home’s growing team as a Field Service Professional, where you’ll combine technical expertise with consultative sales to deliver cutting‑edge smart home solutions to customers in the Baltimore area.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Assess customer homes on‑site and recommend upgrades or additional services.
• Educate homeowners on system operation to ensure confidence and safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and sales activities.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and leadership training to advance within the organization.

Required profile

• Strong sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales is a plus.
• Customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Technical aptitude – background in cable/satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of security cameras.
• Installation and configuration of smart locks.
• Setup and maintenance of home automation systems.
