Field Service Professional – Smart Home Installations

About the role

Join the Smart Home team as a Field Service Professional, representing Vivint Smart Home in the Taylor, MI area. You will install cutting‑edge smart home technology and help customers upgrade their systems for greater safety and convenience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation devices at customer residences.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades that meet the customer’s needs.
• Provide hands‑on training to homeowners so they can confidently use their new smart home system.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, sales, and service calls.
• Collaborate with team leaders for continuous coaching and career development.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Willingness to learn technical skills on the job; prior experience in cable/satellite install, construction, pest control or solar is helpful.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
