Field Service Professional – Smart Home Installation

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs cutting‑edge smart home technology and helps customers protect and automate their homes. You will combine technical installation skills with on‑site consultative sales to deliver a seamless, secure experience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems at customer residences.
• Assess each home’s needs and recommend upgrades or additional services, driving sales of premium solutions.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, ensuring they feel confident using their new technology.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the support team.
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching to improve technical and sales performance.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Ability to work independently and manage a 4‑day work week schedule.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of security cameras.
• Installation and configuration of smart locks.
• Setup and integration of home automation systems.
• Basic technical aptitude for cable/satellite, construction, or related fields (helpful but not required).
