About the role
The Field Service Engineer acts as the direct liaison with customers, installing, maintaining, and upgrading semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple system domains.
Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment in the field.
- Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address issues, collaborating with senior engineers and customers.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
- Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
- Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
Required profile
- Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
- 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and thermodynamics.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required skills
- Familiarity with scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipment.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
