About the role
Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer in Madison, Wisconsin, where you will use your technical expertise to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites. You will manage customer relationships, ensure timely service, and contribute to revenue generation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to entitlements, setting clear expectations, and meeting arrival commitments.
- Install, diagnose, and repair imaging equipment, including electronic, mechanical, and networking components.
- Complete preventative maintenance, field change orders, installation documentation, and related paperwork within regulatory timeframes.
- Utilize tools, support resources, and escalation processes to resolve system problems efficiently.
- Travel approximately 70% of the time across the region, with average daily driving of 1‑4 hours and occasional overnight stays.
- Participate actively in the regional team, identify training gaps, and seek opportunities to expand technical capabilities.
Required profile
- 2+ years experience in diagnostic imaging service (field or hospital) or 4+ years in electromechanical industries.
- Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including second/third shifts, weekends, on‑call, and mandatory overtime.
- Ability to work safely with radiation sources and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Residency within commuting distance to Madison, WI, and legal US work authorization.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and nuclear medicine equipment.
- Proficiency in electronic, mechanical, and networking theory for installation and repair.
- Use of diagnostic tools and test equipment for troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret and complete service work orders, timesheets, and expense reports.
- Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in a healthcare environment.
