Field Service Engineer – Etch (Level II)

About the role

As a Field Service/Customer Engineer II you will be the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading Etch equipment. You will use digital analytics and diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and ensure optimal operation of complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Execute Tier II startup activities and complete equipment qualifications with minimal assistance.
• Respond to fab issues, coordinate escalation calls and communicate solutions to engineers and customers.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving or uptime‑increasing projects, and perform retrofits on equipment.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled with on‑the‑job experience; works with limited supervision.
• Strong customer focus, able to maintain clear communication and high satisfaction.
• Comfortable operating in high‑pressure or ambiguous situations and following safety and IP guidelines.

Required skills

• Diagnostic techniques for electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of complex semiconductor equipment.
• Use of digital analytics tools for troubleshooting.
• Equipment retrofitting and qualification procedures.
