Field Sales Engineer

About the role

The Field Sales Engineer will drive sales of Walter USA cutting‑tool products and services across Maine, New Hampshire and East Massachusetts. You will act as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams, delivering value‑added solutions that meet application needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan sales activities through market analysis to target the right customers.
• Schedule and conduct productive customer visits with clear agendas.
• Listen actively to understand customer requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate responses.
• Negotiate agreements in collaboration with customers and business partners.
• Align company products and processes to deliver optimized solutions.
• Promote the full range of Walter products and services.
• Actively sell by presenting value‑added solutions and securing orders.
• Document and report sales activities, test results, cost savings and forecasts.

Required profile

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration with a technical focus, or equivalent experience in the cutting‑tool industry.
• Several years of sales experience in industrial cutting tools or manufacturing experience with end‑user/channel sales.
• Experience working independently from a home or virtual office and willingness to travel extensively.
• Valid driver’s license and residence in South Maine or New Hampshire to cover the territory.
