Field Procurement Representative – Construction Site

About the role

The Field Procurement Representative supports onsite construction projects by acquiring the materials, equipment, rentals and services needed to keep work progressing on schedule and within budget. This site‑based position is located near Bogalusa, LA and works closely with construction crews, project managers, engineers, logistics teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Source project materials, supplies, equipment, rentals and construction services as requested by the project team.
• Prepare bidding documents, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms and manage pre‑award and post‑award activities.
• Create and issue accurate purchase orders in line with corporate, project and supply‑chain procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Black & Veatch procurement policies, contract requirements and project schedules.
• Serve as the primary field procurement point of contact for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing within construction or engineering environments.
• Ability to work on‑site for a long‑term assignment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, bidding processes and supply‑chain procedures.
