Field Organizer – Pennsylvania & Michigan (Midwest/NE)

About the role

NextGen America is looking for energetic organizers to lead its youth‑voting initiative across Pennsylvania and Michigan. You will work directly with college campuses and surrounding communities to register and mobilize young voters aged 18‑29.

Key responsibilities

• Drive voter registration, plan‑to‑vote, and grassroots outreach on target campuses (PSU, UPenn, Drexel, MSU, UMich).
• Recruit, train, and manage a volunteer team to support field activities.
• Coordinate events, both on‑site and virtual, to boost civic participation.
• Maintain accurate data entry and meet all reporting deadlines.
• Collaborate with campus administrations and local partners to expand voter engagement.

Required profile

• Passionate about progressive politics and youth engagement.
• Comfortable traveling to campuses and community sites (≈25% travel).
• Ability to meet weekly and phase‑based metrics.
• Strong communication and community‑building skills.

Required skills

• Experience with phone‑banking or text‑banking outreach.
• Proficiency in organizing events and volunteer coordination.
• Ability to use data reporting tools for field metrics.
