Field Operator – Oil & Gas Production

About the role

The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating wells and associated surface equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves, tanks, and other vessels. The role ensures safe, efficient production while maintaining accurate records and responding to alarms 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Gauge and record tank and gas meter readings.
• Open/close valves, tank hatches, and operate pumps according to delivery schedules.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues, leaks, wear, and recommend repairs.
• Obtain oil samples, perform quality tests, and log results.
• Complete daily production sheets, 8‑day gauge reports, and monthly surveillance reports.
• Implement the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) plan as needed.
• Monitor alarms and be available on‑call 24 hours per day.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of oilfield experience.
• Ability to work across multiple fields and adhere to on‑call schedules.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and company values.
