Field Mechanic (Ely, NV)

About the role

Wilson Construction Co., an electrical utility construction firm, is seeking an experienced Field Mechanic to perform repairs on a wide range of utility equipment and trucks at various job sites throughout Nevada.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, diesel, gas, electrical, and brake systems on aerial equipment and boom trucks.
• Perform fabrication tasks and replace related components as needed.
• Travel to multiple job sites, maintaining high safety standards on each location.
• Work overtime and occasional weekends to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain personal tool set and ensure equipment readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of heavy‑mechanic experience in a related field.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb and work in physically demanding positions.
• Self‑motivated, safety‑focused, and able to think creatively.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – a plus
