Field & Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Field & Manufacturing Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and operation of integrated mechanical and electrical systems for clean energy projects. Based in Brattleboro, VT, the role involves 30‑50% travel to customer sites and collaboration with the Engineering & Manufacturing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture, test, and peer‑check sub‑parts of larger or fully integrated systems according to engineering procedures, CAD drawings, and schematics.
• Assist, support, and coach Level I and peer technicians with work assignments as needed.
• Support and assist in rebuilds of outage support systems.
• Perform onsite deployment, maintenance, setup, and operation of integrated systems.
• Generate purchase requisitions from system packages.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of sub‑parts of larger or fully integrated systems.
• Soldering experience meeting J‑STD‑001 standards.
• Experience using digital multimeters, HI‑Pot testers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and calipers.
