Field Inspector 1099 Contractor

About the role

Seek Now is looking for independent 1099 subcontractors to perform accurate, impartial home and commercial property inspections for clients in the property insurance, facility management, and real estate sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lift and set up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure, and scope roof or room components of various shapes and sizes.
• Document inspections using Seek Now’s proprietary mobile software, including 3D cameras, drones, and moisture meters when needed.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected areas for assignments lasting 2‑6 weeks, with lodging provided.
• Cover a 100‑mile radius around your home market and handle short‑notice assignments.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable truck or SUV capable of transporting a 32‑ft ladder.
• Valid driver’s license, state‑issued workers’ compensation, and general liability insurance.
• Ability to obtain HAAG certification within 90 days.
• Operational laptop and smartphone for data entry and Microsoft Office use.

Required skills

• Proprietary inspection software operation on a smartphone.
• Use of 3D cameras, drones, and moisture meters.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
