Field Biomedical Equipment Technician – Bronx, NY

About the role

Support Philips Multi‑Vendor Services as a Field Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) serving customers in the Bronx, NY area. You will manage customer relationships by installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining biomedical equipment on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, field change orders, installations, and diagnose electronic, network, and mechanical issues independently.
• Provide exceptional customer service, adhere to entitlements, set expectations, and resolve needs promptly.
• Participate in onsite work teams, improve processes, identify training gaps, and pursue capability expansion.
• Complete administrative duties such as timesheets, work orders, expense reports, and documentation in compliance with Philips, state, and federal regulations.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in a medical service environment or 7+ years in electromechanical industries.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in hospital/healthcare settings, flexible hours, and safely handle radiation sources.

Required skills

• Ventilator service and repair.
• Patient monitoring, defibrillator, and infusion pump maintenance.
• Electronic, mechanical, and networking troubleshooting.
• Use of service manuals, diagnostic tools, and test equipment.
