Field Account Manager – Federal Government

About the role

The Field Account Manager – Federal Government will manage and grow a portfolio of federal agency accounts in the Washington, DC market. This field‑based position involves regular in‑person meetings, developing strategic account plans, and driving revenue through consultative selling of LexisNexis solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand an assigned portfolio of Federal Government agency accounts, retaining existing revenue and identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans, create solution‑oriented proposals, and manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity tracking within CRM tools while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and represent LexisNexis at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in account management, client management, business development, or consultative sales, preferably with Federal Government agencies.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment and reside within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
