Federal Work Study Tutor – Stay on TRACK

About the role

This Federal Work Study position supports students at the Stay on TRACK center by providing academic tutoring and assisting staff with clerical duties. It offers a flexible, part‑time schedule for enrolled students who want to help peers succeed while gaining work experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual or group tutoring to reinforce course material and solve problems.
• Assist students with college technology and software needed for academic success.
• Make referrals to campus and community resources as appropriate.
• Support the advisement and registration process by greeting students, helping complete academic plans, and escorting them on campus.
• Perform clerical tasks such as copying, assembling packets, and answering phones.
• Follow college policies, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professional customer service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current enrollment in a SRTC credit program at the Moultrie location.
• Eligibility for the Federal Work Study program and satisfactory academic progress.
• Instructor recommendation.
• Preferred: degree‑level student with a GPA of 3.5 or higher in General Education courses.
