Federal Work Study Student – Administrative Assistant (Part‑Time)

About the role

Platt College is seeking a Federal Work Study student to provide administrative support across student accounts, financial aid, and career services. This part‑time, entry‑level position is ideal for a motivated student enrolled at Platt College who can balance coursework with on‑campus responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.
• Prepare and mail financial aid packets and other correspondence.
• Assist in setting up student workshops, events, and on‑campus activities.
• Monitor supply inventory for equipment used by the student population.
• Support student services, education, and career services departments as needed.

Required profile

• Must be currently enrolled at Platt College with at least a 2.5 GPA.
• Eligibility for Federal Work Study as defined by the Department of Education.
• Maintain at least 90% attendance; missed days disqualify work for that day.
• Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and keep information confidential.

Required skills

• Basic office skills, including filing and data entry.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with standard office software.
