Federal Work Study – Special Populations Assistant

About the role

This Federal Work Study position supports the Student Affairs Division at Gwinnett Technical College's Lawrenceville campus. You will work directly with the Assistant Director of Disability Services, providing office and classroom assistance to special‑population students while gaining valuable workplace experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an office assistant and classroom note‑taker for credit‑seeking students.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and distribution of food for the campus pantry.
• Support special‑populations and disability services staff on routine tasks and special projects.
• Handle confidential information in accordance with college policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligibility for Federal Work Study funds for the current semester and good academic standing.
• Enrollment in at least 6 credit hours.
• Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
