About the role
We are seeking a motivated Federal Work Study student to support the Admissions Office at Southern Crescent Technical College. This part‑time position offers hands‑on experience interacting with prospective students and handling daily administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors, determine their needs and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Answer, screen and route telephone calls promptly and courteously.
- Deliver accurate messages and respond to information requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized office environment.
- Perform administrative duties such as typing, filing, ordering supplies, shredding documents, data entry and mail processing.
- Follow supervisor guidance, adhere to scheduled work hours and break policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED; currently enrolled as a student at the college location.
- Financial need and Pell eligibility.
- Satisfactory academic progress for Federal Student Aid.
- Self‑starter with strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented.

- Phone system operation.
- Copy machine usage.
- Fax machine usage.
What we offer
- Hourly wage of $12.00.
