About the role

DesignerStateless, a leading fashion consulting firm in NYC, is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Fashion Designer to join its client‑focused team. You will work directly with brands to translate seasonal visions into commercially viable apparel across multiple categories.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, product development, technical design, and production teams to understand brand vision, price targets, and delivery timelines.
• Create trend‑right designs, silhouettes, trims, graphics, and product concepts while preserving each client’s unique identity.
• Develop and present CADs, sketches, line sheets, presentation decks, and design boards in a professional, client‑facing manner.
• Partner with product development and technical design to ensure feasibility, costing, fit, and construction.
• Support fittings, sample reviews, and design meetings by providing clear feedback and actionable direction.
• Maintain organized design records, sample notes, artwork files, and track approvals, changes, and deadlines.
• Utilize AI tools (Fashion.ai, Chat GPT, Claude, Nano Banana) to visualize sketches and accelerate the design process.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator comfortable presenting ideas and receiving feedback in real time.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
• Adaptable and proactive with strong follow‑through on client commitments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software for apparel design.
• Experience using AI design tools such as Fashion.ai, Chat GPT, Claude, and Nano Banana.
• Strong sketching and illustration abilities.
