Family Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Family Engagement Coordinator drives meaningful collaboration between families and program staff, ensuring that parent voices shape service delivery. This position works closely with the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) to gather feedback, develop outreach plans, and deliver community education.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and activate the Parent Advisory Committee, facilitating its involvement in program decisions.
• Collect, analyze, and share family feedback to inform strategy and service coordination.
• Design and update a quarterly outreach plan in partnership with the PAC.
• Conduct family surveys, host parent‑led events, and provide training on self‑advocacy and leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of all activities in PEIRS (DFPS) and Salesforce (BCFS) databases.
• Document attendance weekly, attend required trainings, and provide monthly community education topics.
• Meet regularly with the supervisor to review caseload status and ensure contract deliverables are met.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required) with at least 3 years of related direct experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and may substitute for experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel as needed.
• First Aid/CPR certification and ability to pass pre‑employment drug and background screens.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce for data entry and reporting.
