About the role

Join Bosch’s Charleston plant for a Fall 2026 co‑op where you will support mechanical and electrical engineering projects that drive automotive manufacturing excellence. This on‑site position offers hands‑on experience developing machine concepts, improving production line quality, and delivering technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing machine concepts and technical solutions for automotive sector requirements.
• Support engineering projects through concept, design, build, and commissioning phases.
• Prepare and present technical concepts and system architectures for project discussions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing).
• Track technical scope, requirements, risks, schedules, and deliverables.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for engineering standards and processes.
• Assist with on‑site activities such as customer meetings, trials, and commissioning.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong interest in special machinery, industrial automation, or manufacturing systems, especially in the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with engineering principles, concept development, and system‑level thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of PLC programming.
• Experience with HMI design.
• Coursework or project experience related to controls, automation, or mechatronics.
