Fall 2026 Grants Management Intern

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Fall 2026 Grants Management Intern to support its Atlanta office. This unpaid internship offers graduate and undergraduate students hands‑on experience in grant management within a leading humanitarian organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Grants Coordinator in reviewing donor prospecting strategies.
• Research and populate a database of pre‑award grant opportunities.
• Maintain and update the grants calendar.
• Attend webinars and information sessions on grant funding.
• Draft grant proposals for review by the Grants Coordinator or Development Director.
• Provide ad‑hoc support on identified projects and submit hours on the volunteer dashboard.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program related to International Relations, Development, Social Work, Non‑profit Management, or similar fields.
• Strong interest in humanitarian and refugee resettlement programs.
• Ability to conduct independent research and manage data.
