Faculty Lead & Learning Engineer - Sciences

About the role

Outsmart is seeking a Faculty Lead & Learning Engineer for Sciences to own the design, development, and quality of undergraduate science courses. You will create engaging, rigorous curricula across biology, chemistry, physics, geology and more, leveraging AI and modern tooling to deliver a next‑generation learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop science courses (introductory to advanced) with clear learning outcomes and mastery‑based progression.
• Create formative and summative assessments aligned with course objectives.
• Use AI and interactive tools to build virtual labs, simulations, visualizations, and notebooks.
• Collaborate with Learning Design, Product, and Engineering teams to ship technology‑enabled science experiences.
• Support accreditation and quality assurance by aligning syllabi, policies, and credit hours with institutional standards.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in one or more core sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, geology) with a strong academic background.
• Experience teaching or leading undergraduate science curriculum (3+ years preferred).
• Passion for AI‑enabled teaching and a builder mindset—resourceful, high‑energy, and mission‑driven.
• Clear, direct communicator who works well with designers, engineers, and product teams.
