Facility Maintenance Technician Lead

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Technician Lead directs daily activities of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all work complies with safety policies, quality standards, and departmental procedures. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role plays a key part in keeping plant equipment operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to facility maintenance technicians.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Mentor, train, and develop maintenance staff.
• Perform complex repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Coordinate planned work to maximize maintenance efficiency.
• Act as backup department leader when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.
• Enforce safety protocols and support facility improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and supervisory skills.
• Reliable attendance and proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with a broad range of facility equipment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures.
