Facilities Manager – New York

About the role

As a Facilities Manager you will enable and secure the smooth operation of H&M's site portfolio. You will deliver optimized, cost‑efficient facility management services that meet business needs while supporting short‑ and long‑term asset performance. The hybrid role reports to the Facilities & Procurement Manager and is based in the New York Support Office.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full FM scope, including Energy & Utilities, Cleaning, Waste & Pest Management, Technical installations, General Building Maintenance, and Shopfitting maintenance.
• Act as FM Category Manager: define strategy, set standards, steer suppliers, manage performance, and drive cost and quality optimisation.
• Lead or co‑lead sourcing, procurement and contract delivery for facility service providers, ensuring contractual compliance and high‑quality service.
• Monitor portfolio condition, identify investment needs and plan actions to optimise asset lifetime and lifecycle performance.
• Develop and maintain maintenance plans, balance scheduled and reactive work, and ensure health & safety requirements are met.
• Provide data, systems and financial performance reporting for assets and reactive work.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing maintenance, supplier management, lifecycle planning and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Strong ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple facility service providers.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance standards applicable to retail environments.
• Capability to drive cost‑effective solutions while maintaining high service quality.
