Facilities Engineer – Engineering & Design Specialist

About the role

RigUp is seeking a Facilities Engineer / Specialist III to evaluate engineering work, ensure compliance with standards, and support design routines across its facilities. The role blends technical analysis with strong communication to keep projects on track.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and comment on internal and contractor engineering work for compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate execution of engineering and design routines aligned with team goals and procedures.
• Communicate engineering activities, progress, and issues accurately to stakeholders.
• Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, hazard hunts, and critical operating parameter reviews.
• Lead incident investigations, including downtime and process‑safety events.
• Identify improvement opportunities, develop project scopes, and manage opportunity pipelines.
• Conduct risk assessments for new and existing facilities and drive closure of mitigation actions.
• Lead performance testing, plant trials, and develop operating guidelines.
• Coach and mentor junior and peer colleagues while delivering projects quickly across multiple teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent priority changes.
• Fluent English for technical and business communications.
• PMP experience preferred.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
