Facilities Electrician

About the role

Celgard, a leader in high‑performance membrane technology, is looking for a Facilities Electrician to join its maintenance team in Charlotte, NC. The role supports the reliable operation of critical plant systems that produce battery separators for electric‑drive vehicles and energy‑storage applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and replace electrical components across the facility.
• Operate, maintain, inspect, test and repair HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, dryers, chillers, air handlers and related condensation systems.
• Perform daily checks on mechanical and electrical rooms, fire monitoring and response systems, lighting, plumbing, water, air handling, docks, roll‑up doors and the Building Automation System.
• Execute corrective and preventative maintenance on all facilities equipment.
• Coordinate and lead contract labor when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.

Required skills

• Electrical installation, troubleshooting and repair.
• HVAC and refrigeration system maintenance.
• Compressor, dryer and chiller servicing.
• Building Automation System (BAS) operation.
• Fire monitoring and response system knowledge.
• Experience with lighting, plumbing, roll‑up doors and related building systems.
