Facilities Director

About the role

Mesh Optical Technologies is building the largest optical manufacturing plant in North America. The Facilities Director will shape a safe, clean, and high‑capacity environment that supports an aggressive production ramp for cutting‑edge optical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of power distribution, electrical, network, exhaust, cleanroom air, and HVAC systems.
• Manage vendors, construction crews, and project schedules to meet rapid deployment targets.
• Ensure compliance with EHS/OSHA, fire safety, building codes, insurance, and environmental regulations.
• Optimize layout, equipment placement, and access control for large‑scale manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement data‑driven facilities management tools to lower costs and improve sustainability.
• Establish preventative maintenance programs and monitoring systems for critical infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to align facility capabilities with die‑bonding, flip‑chip assembly, and automated optical inspection equipment.
• Lead root‑cause investigations for system downtime and drive corrective actions.
• Develop long‑term expansion plans, including site selection and lease negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Proven experience delivering facility build‑outs and infrastructure upgrades for high‑volume production environments.
• Strong project‑management and leadership abilities, with a track record of managing cross‑functional teams.
