Fabrication Technician (Level 1)

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Fabrication Technician (Level 1) to join its Brier Hill, PA facility. The role involves cleaning, grinding, cutting, welding, and repairing components from aftermarket equipment, as well as fabricating new parts according to engineered specifications or customer direction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, grinding, cutting, welding, and repair of equipment components.
• Fabricate new parts from engineered drawings or customer instructions.
• Utilize oxy/fuel cutting techniques and all‑position welding.
• Interpret engineered drawings accurately.
• Work overtime, weekends, and shift schedules as required.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards (5S).
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry‑specific equipment.
• Technical diploma or certification in welding.
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and progress to advanced fabrication levels.
