Fabrication & Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a Fabrication & Maintenance B technician for the 3rd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. You will work nights and early mornings installing, maintaining and operating equipment in hydraulic, heating, water, air and gas systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and operate hydraulic, heating, water, air or gas equipment.
• Determine optimal locations and methods for hooking up instruments, valves, controls, brackets and supports.
• Measure, cut, flare tubing; cut and thread piping; perform welding, soldering and brazing as required.
• Move and install completed equipment, make connections and perform functional checks to ensure safe operation.
• Build special test equipment for engineering and maintain/replace test units.
• Troubleshoot equipment, replace faulty components (including hydraulic pumps) and collaborate with machine‑repair and electrician personnel.
• Maintain oil levels, drain, clean and change filters, and report any contamination.
• Observe unusual conditions and prevent cross‑contamination of fluids and gases.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written and computer instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Proven use of measuring devices, hand tools and power tools.
• Capability to read and work from drawings, sketches or layouts.
• Willingness to work the 3rd‑shift schedule (Sun 10 PM‑7 AM, Mon‑Thu 11 PM‑7 AM) and flexible overtime as needed.
