About the role

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is seeking an Extra Help Research Assistant to support ongoing projects in the Horticulture and Nutraceuticals Laboratory. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides hands‑on experience in plant science research within a collaborative academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior researchers with experimental design, sample preparation, and data collection.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and follow safety protocols.
• Document experimental procedures and results accurately in lab notebooks and digital systems.
• Support greenhouse and indoor growth operations for horticultural studies.
• Prepare and analyze plant extracts for nutraceutical testing.

Required profile

• Current enrollment or recent graduation in horticulture, plant science, nutrition, or a related field.
• Strong interest in agricultural research and nutraceutical development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
