Express Business Lender

About the role

The Express Business Lender drives high‑volume origination, underwriting, and management of commercial loans up to $1,000,000 across small‑business, equipment finance, commercial real estate and working‑capital segments. The role focuses on fast, customer‑centric loan processing while maintaining strong credit discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new loan production for loans $1M and under across multiple business‑lending segments.
• Prospect new clients through outbound calls, networking and community events.
• Maintain a consistent pipeline via proactive business‑development activities.
• Partner with retail, treasury management and commercial banking teams to identify and convert opportunities.
• Cross‑sell bank products such as treasury management, deposits, merchant services and wealth management.
• Underwrite loans using a standardized express credit framework and automated tools.
• Structure loans within policy guidelines, mitigate risk and preserve credit quality.
• Deliver fast turnaround from application to approval and closing, coordinating with credit, documentation and closing teams.
• Complete mandatory training, including BSA and AML compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred.
• NMLS certification required or obtainable upon hire.
• Minimum three years of loan origination or credit analysis experience.
• Formal commercial credit training preferred.
• Strong sales ability, analytical mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
