Expert Instructional Faculty - Teacher Preparation Program

About the Position

Join CalStateTEACH, a premier Multiple Subject Teacher Preparation Program, as an Instructional Faculty member. We are seeking dedicated educational leaders and experienced administrators committed to shaping the next generation of diverse and equitable educators in California.

Main Missions

• Teaching & Mentorship: Conduct candidate interviews, provide academic advising, and facilitate online learning communities following the CalStateTEACH curriculum.
• Clinical Supervision: Guide candidates in mastering Teaching Performance Expectations (TPE), perform formative and summative evaluations, and oversee classroom instruction.
• Field Coordination: Manage clinical placements, act as a liaison with partner schools, and select/mentor school-based teacher mentors.
• Program Development: Participate in regional and state meetings, contribute to curriculum revision, and support CSET preparation.
• Community Engagement: Organize and facilitate regional seminars and Saturday cohort meetings to foster professional growth.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as an experienced teacher leader or educational administrator.
• Deep commitment to promoting equity and supporting diverse learner populations (racial, ethnic, linguistic, socio-economic, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in educational technologies and various instructional software.
• Expertise in clinical supervision and familiarity with "instructional rounds" methodologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, combining asynchronous online instruction with on-site clinical experiences.
