Expert Data Scientist (AI)

About the role

Join Nestlé IT & Digital as an Expert AI Data Scientist supporting Nestlé USA. You will sit at the seam between business and technology, framing ambiguous problems and owning AI solutions end‑to‑end, from definition through adoption. The role blends product management with technical engineering in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a thought leader on emerging AI, GenAI, and agentic technologies, translating breakthrough capabilities into scalable applications.
• Partner with stakeholders to turn ambiguous business needs into precise specifications, define success criteria, and drive alignment across the solution lifecycle.
• Own AI applications from concept and experimental design through industrialization, deployment, and adoption.
• Orchestrate AI agents across parallel work streams, creating reusable workflows for the broader team.
• Design evaluation frameworks, conformance checks, and monitoring to validate AI output before rollout and sustain production solutions.
• Document decisions, coach teammates, and strengthen collective capability.
• Collaborate with global IT & Digital teams to co‑create and scale AI solutions while navigating platform roadmaps.
• Build solutions with security and resilience, protecting sensitive data and anticipating misuse.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years experience partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive adoption.
• 5+ years building and shipping AI/ML solutions adopted by real users.
• 3+ years deploying and scaling enterprise‑scale solutions, including MLOps and cloud platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• 3+ years delivering production solutions with emerging technologies, AI, GenAI, LLMs, and agentic workflows.
