Experienced Water Restoration Technician

About the role

ServiceMaster Premier Restoration Services in Yorktown, VA is hiring a full-time experienced water restoration technician. The company provides residential and commercial restoration services after water, fire, smoke or mold damage, and technicians learn transferable skills in maintenance, construction, leadership and customer service. The position involves mandatory overnight on-call shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders, check routes, load the truck with the right equipment and supplies and arrive at the job site
• Mitigate water, mold and fire losses as directed, following company procedures and IICRC standards, including extraction, debris removal, demolition and cleaning
• Set up remediation equipment on site and document losses as required
• Report equipment malfunctions and notify the project manager of customer or project issues
• Maintain time sheets, keep a quality standard and stay safe using provided PPE

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in the restoration industry preferred
• Active driver's license with a good record (no DUI, DWI or reckless driving in the last 3-5 years); must pass a motor vehicle report
• No felonies and authorization to work in the United States
• Must pass respirator fit tests for half-face and full-face respirators, and a physical to wear a respirator and drive DOT vehicles
• Physical demands: lifting up to 70 pounds, standing and walking for long periods, lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching
