Experienced Software Developer

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an Experienced Software Developer to join its Philadelphia team. You will work on cloud‑native, AI‑enabled solutions that power industrial enterprises worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Make technical decisions on scaling, reliability, performance and maintenance for your team’s services.
• Design, develop, test, debug and maintain high‑quality applications and cloud‑native services.
• Build scalable, fault‑tolerant solutions on Microsoft Azure using modern cloud architecture.
• Create microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems for enterprise‑scale applications.
• Integrate Large Language Models into products, evaluating performance, cost and latency trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience building enterprise applications.
• Proven ownership of medium‑to‑large engineering initiatives from design to deployment.
• Strong background in microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and designing scalable data architectures.
• Hands‑on work with Large Language Models and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation solutions.
