Experienced Litigation Paralegal – New York

About the role

We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our New York office, supporting civil defense litigation across products liability, trucking, premises liability and construction injury matters. The role involves managing discovery, preparing trial materials and maintaining an independent caseload within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, review and analyze documents such as medical, financial, tax and employment records.
• Prepare medical record chronologies and compile evidence from discovery, transcripts and databases.
• Create trial notebooks, exhibits and witness files; manage trial preparation.
• Maintain court docket calendars, generate status reports, logs and indexes.
• Coordinate with support services, clients, opposing counsel and courts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis of case issues, including medical and expert articles.
• Communicate with experts, assess qualifications and manage related documentation.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Prior litigation/casualty paralegal experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree; ABA‑approved paralegal certificate preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload under deadlines.
• Commitment to confidentiality and teamwork.
