Experienced CNC Programmer

About the role

We are looking for an Experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. They will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce parts according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC programming and a passion for precision and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Study drawings and prints to design or modify CNC programs for part production.
• Program and troubleshoot CNC machines, providing detailed instructions to operators.
• Assist with machine setup and prove out NC programs.
• Select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, tools, and materials safely.
• Monitor CNC operations to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 to 5 years related CNC programming experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and solid models.
• Strong interest in engineering and mechanical systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to troubleshoot problems.
• Basic math skills including geometry and trigonometry.

Required skills

• Experience with Mastercam.
• Familiarity with G, D, and T codes.
• Programming for milling, turning, mill/turn, and wire EDM.
• Understanding of G&M code programming.
• Large part machining experience (e.g., ship propeller shafting, steering gear).
• Use of precision tools such as lathe, manual milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw.
• Forklift and crane operation experience.
