Executive Director, Western Operations

About the role

The Executive Director, Western Operations leads the regional workforce training program for the Technical College System of Georgia. Based at the Kia Georgia Training Center in West Point, this senior leader ensures training solutions align with the state’s economic development and business recruitment goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a complex, project‑based training operation delivering turnkey workforce solutions to client companies.
• Provide strategic direction for regional planning, development, execution, and continuous improvement of training projects.
• Oversee scheduling, maintenance, safety, and utilization of Quick Start training centers and related facilities.
• Develop and sustain relationships with client companies, economic development partners, technical colleges, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as primary regional contact, ensuring high customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with instructional design, project management, digital media, recruiting, and administrative teams to deliver high‑quality, performance‑based programs.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and supervise regional staff and contract training specialists.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, safety, and customer service excellence.
• Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and conduct employee evaluations.
• Develop and manage regional operating budgets, steward agency resources, and monitor financial performance.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in operations or workforce development.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with public, private, and educational partners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
• Experience overseeing facilities, safety protocols, and project execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
