About the role

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Executive Director, Strategic Operations to lead the company’s strategic planning and operational excellence. Based in Pasadena, CA, this senior leader will ensure seamless execution of global operations and product delivery across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate refinement and prioritization of the technical portfolio backlog, aligning resources with strategic goals.
• Develop and manage the functional operating rhythm to improve organizational efficiency.
• Lead operational reviews and drive execution against strategic plans.
• Coordinate long‑range planning and strategic initiatives for product and work‑package teams.
• Ensure cross‑functional alignment and governance of the technical portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior operational or strategic leadership roles, preferably within biopharma or related technology sectors.
• Strong track record of managing complex portfolios and driving business agility.
• Excellent ability to influence and align cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week in Pasadena.
