Executive Director – Behavioral Health Facility

About the role

The Executive Director leads all operational, clinical, and strategic functions of a behavioral health facility within the Advanced Recovery Systems network. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures high‑quality, evidence‑based addiction and mental health care while driving productivity, compliance, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual program goals aligned with the company vision.
• Manage facility operations within budgetary expectations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee clinical services, including hiring clinicians, monitoring workflow, and maintaining documentation quality.
• Lead community relations by representing the facility at events and serving as its public face.
• Design and launch new service lines and expansion strategies to meet clinical and financial objectives.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, manage schedules, approve timecards, and collaborate with HR on staffing and performance coaching.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
• Strong understanding of licensing, accreditation, and state regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive profitability, and improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills for community outreach and internal team coordination.

Required skills

• Knowledge of staff scheduling, time‑card management, and HR collaboration processes.
