Event Coordinator – Live Events & Venue Operations

About the role

The Event Coordinator will manage all operational aspects of third‑party events, including concerts, family shows, Rockets & Comets games, internal gatherings, and private special events. This role serves as the central information hub for multiple departments and ensures seamless execution from planning through post‑event analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate concerts, family shows, Rockets & Comets games (pregame events and gameday meetings), and private or internal events.
• Act as primary liaison for each event: prepare diagrams, setup instructions, and supporting documentation; distribute to staff and communicate changes.
• Collaborate with vendors on all event‑related matters.
• Prepare event cost estimates, manage closeout procedures, track final expenses, and submit invoices.
• Compile post‑event recaps highlighting lessons learned for future planning.

Required profile

• Minimum one year experience in the entertainment arena, stadium, theatre, or a related field.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel.
• Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop quick solutions, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• BS/BA degree required.
