Estimator - Unitized Curtain Wall

About the role

The company is seeking a detail‑oriented Estimator to join its Preconstruction and Estimating team. You will develop accurate cost estimates for unitized curtain wall projects by analysing drawings, specifications and collaborating with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise detailed material takeoffs and quantity surveys under senior guidance.
• Review architectural, structural and engineering documents to define project scope and pricing.
• Analyze project schedules, mock‑ups, testing requirements and procurement timelines.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering material, labor, equipment, transportation, tax and subcontractor items.
• Produce detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare material summaries, sketches and bid documentation.
• Solicit, review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate bid communications, distribute plans and specifications to vendors.
• Prepare bid proposals, pricing breakdowns, unit costs, clarifications, inclusions and exclusions.
• Assist in final bid package preparation and customer submissions.
• Participate in scope review meetings and maintain meeting documentation.
• Follow up with general contractors and customers on bid feedback.
• Support senior estimating staff with pricing, budgeting and proposal development.
• Utilise Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word and other estimating software to produce accurate estimates and reports.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience estimating commercial glazing and curtain wall systems.
• Ability to manage multiple bid opportunities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Proficiency in using estimating software tools.
