Estimator – Unitized Curtain Wall

About the role

The company, a global leader in façade engineering, is seeking a detail‑oriented Estimator specialized in unitized curtain wall systems to join its Preconstruction and Estimating team. You will develop accurate cost estimates for complex architectural envelope projects by analysing drawings, specifications and collaborating with vendors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise detailed material takeoffs and quantity surveys under senior guidance.
• Review architectural, structural, and engineering documents to determine project scope and pricing.
• Analyze project schedules, mock‑ups, testing requirements, procurement timelines and installation sequencing.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering material, labor, equipment, transportation, tax and subcontractor items.
• Produce detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and prepare material summaries, sketches and bid documentation.
• Solicit, review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate bid communications, distribute plans and specifications, and prepare bid proposals with pricing breakdowns.
• Assist in final bid package preparation, attend scope review meetings and maintain documentation.
• Support senior estimators with pricing, budgeting and proposal development using Bluebeam, Excel and other estimating tools.

Required profile

• Strong technical estimating background.
• Experience with commercial glazing and curtain wall systems.
• Ability to manage multiple bid opportunities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented and analytical mindset.
• Effective communication with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.
