About the role

Accel Schools is seeking a dedicated ESL Teacher for Cornerstone Academy, a K‑12 charter school in Westerville, Ohio. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English‑as‑a‑Second‑Language instruction to a diverse student body, fostering both academic achievement and social‑emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and adapt lesson plans throughout the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of all learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Implement research‑based best practices in daily classroom instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Utilize school‑approved curricula that reflect students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Integrate technology to support instruction and student learning.
• Participate in non‑instructional activities and collaborate with colleagues.

Required profile

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Comfort working in a growth‑focused coaching environment with frequent observations and feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Capability to supervise students across various school settings.
• Successful completion of federal and state background checks.
