Equity Capital Markets Analyst – Event‑Driven Equities

About the role

The global multi‑strategy investment platform is seeking an analyst to join its event‑driven equities team, focusing on Equity Capital Markets and corporate catalysts. The role bridges fundamental research and trading, providing exposure to both discretionary decision‑making and data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate equity issuance opportunities, including IPOs, follow‑ons, and block trades.
• Conduct detailed fundamental analysis using financial statements, market data, and industry research.
• Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of event‑driven catalysts on company performance.
• Support investment decisions through written materials and presentations for internal committees.
• Monitor ongoing positions and market developments, including regulatory and structural changes.
• Partner with traders, fundamental analysts, and quantitative teams to identify and act on opportunities.

Required profile

• 2‑6 years of relevant experience in special situations, ECM, or event‑driven investing; buy‑side experience a plus.
• Strong grounding in corporate finance, accounting, and valuation methodologies.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
