Equipment Operator

About the role

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of earth‑moving machinery to move construction materials, clear grades, and prepare job sites. The role requires flexibility to work different shifts, including long hours and weekends as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Fasten attachments, graders, buckets, and rollers to tractors using hitch‑pins.
• Operate excavation and loading machines, bulldozers, trench excavators, and road graders.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift equipment inspections and grease appropriate parts.
• Maintain equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and perform basic repairs.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment promptly to supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience operating earth‑moving equipment.
• Understanding of construction principles and procedures.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and kneeling.

Required skills

• Operation of earth‑moving equipment (excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders).
